My Reflection!

Image
Now that the process of making a commercial is done, I feel like we need to discuss the final product as a whole. My commercial wound up to be around 48 seconds, which is an accurate play time for a running  commercial. Most of the footage and photos provided in my commercial were taken on my 2012 Cannon hand-held camera. The footage was turned into a media link to merge into iMovie. iMovie is a free video editing program iMovie for the Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Although it offers a variety of video effects and features like color correction and image stabilization, it is made usable by users with little to no previous knowledge of video editing. This was very easy for me to use and figure out how to input my own media. What I struggled with was the sound. Publishing music into my commercial had to be the hardest part because there was a ton of cut-and-paste shenanigans I was not used to. Now that I've done this before, I have a better overview of what challenges I'll face.

Final Plan

Hello, as you are aware, I have discussed every element of producing, filming, and editing a commercial. This blog will primarily focus on the physical filming process and all that happens in between. A commercial requires meticulous planning and organization. Shooting a commercial for online or television distribution may be less expensive than you think if you have a product to promote and a marketing budget. With a simple concept, you can construct a commercial on a shockingly small budget. A good television commercial must be of excellent quality. This also entails filming using a camera to catch what the audience needs to see. However, if you were to shoot your commercial in low-quality mode, the camera would be irrelevant. It would only have to continue to move the audience in the way you intended. As a result, quality does not always imply emptying your cash account to create a single ad. Look for potential filming sites. Most ads require only a few sites unless multiple locatio

The Physical Process

Hello, as you know I've spoken on every aspect of producing, filming, and editing a commercial. This blog will primarily focus on the physical process of the filming and everything that goes in between.  Producing a commercial involves careful preparation and organization. If you have a product to promote and a marketing budget, shooting a commercial for web or television distribution may be less expensive than you think. With a simple concept, you may create a commercial on a surprisingly small budget. An effective TV commercial must be of high quality. This also means filming on a camera that will capture what needs to be perceived by the viewer. However, if you wanted your commercial to be shot in a low-quality mode, the camera wouldn't in a sense matter. It would simply have to still touch the viewers in the way you intended. With that, Quality doesn't always involve emptying your bank account to create just one commercial. Look for filming locations. Unless several

Planning the Production

Image
Hello, this blog will primarily discuss my general production strategy for my commercial. I will go over the various aspects and probably address a few disadvantages of generating my own media. Creating an overall concept for the advertising would be part of this conversation. The next step is to write a script. Finally, you would generally debate the production bud get, albeit in my case, it will be as cost-effective as possible. In the regular situation of producing a TV advertisement, the money spent on production is chosen. There are three stages to the ideation process for a TV commercial creation. Pre-production, production, and post-production are all included. The process of developing a television commercial varies depending on the type of commercial. Although some corporations still shoot ads on film, most TV commercials are now hit with digital video cameras and computer editing tools. Regardless of the type or format of the commercial, some basic principles must be followe

Getting Ready to Create

Image
Hello, this blog will mainly speak about my overall production plan for my very own commercial. I will be discussing the different aspects and possibly mention a few drawbacks to producing my own media. This discussion would include creating an overall concept for the advertisement. Next, drafting a script. Then finally you would usually discuss the budget set to produce, though in my case it will be as cost-efficient as I can possibly make it. In the normal case of producing a TV commercial, one selects how much money to spend on production. The brainstorming for a TV commercial production process includes three breakdowns. That includes pre-production, production, and post-production. The process of creating a TV commercial differs based on the type of commercial. Most TV commercials are now more recently created with digital video cameras and computer editing software, although some companies still shoot commercials on film. There are some basic procedures involved in designing a T

Researching and Planning

The process for choosing the photos and videos for my commercial follows the specific tone and message I want the audience to catch. Every document of media that will be included in my commercial will have a physical effect on the viewer. Which leaves them with a different point of view of me. I would like it to be misleading in the sense that you wouldn't expect, almost a surprise. A plot twist to a story that is very blunt, but will take a keen mind to analyze. A good plot has a beginning, middle, and end with suspense and resolution. Commercials that follow effective storytelling techniques will immediately attract the audience's attention and evoke some form of emotional response. The best advertisements tell a story. Creating a tale to which my audience can relate and connect, whether it is an emotional story, a dash of humor, or satire. The song I'll be choosing will help my TV commercial be more effective and memorable. A vital aspect of an advertisement text is tha

My Beginning Journey

Hey, my fellow readers! I'm Thandiwe Avakian, which is definitely a hard name to pronounce and is actually a very uncommon name. Fun Fact; I was actually born in Zimbabwe, which is where my name originates from. Growing up in South Florida has been such a positive experience and couldn't imagine life any other way. I love how there's so much diversity and people from all different places are all enjoying life and fun in the sun! This leads me to say, I absolutely love the beach. I was basically raised on the beach and will continue to go as much as I can for as long as I live. I hope to stay in this beautiful state and attend the college FSU! My all-time dream is to be a dentist and wear cute little pink scrubs. Being a dentist and helping people achieve their dream smile has always been one of my all-time goals. I've always loved going to the dentist and my personal dentist has always encouraged me to dream big and aim high. I won't give up on this big dream beca
